No Greater Love
By Jesus and Spikeleon
In my 44 years on this planet since college, I have come to many dead end roads with a brick wall at the end. You can't go over, under or around. You must find a new open door. If we do our will, then we have to make all the decisions and left to chance. That is why I had left my will to the past and do Jesus' will. That way I don't have to figure out whether I did right or wrong. Let us take a look at a few of Jesus' thoughts and commandments.
JOHN 15:13
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
JOHN 15:14
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
JOHN 15:15
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
JOHN 15:16
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
JOHN 15:17
17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.
JOHN 15:18
18 ¶ If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you.
JOHN 15:19
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
The world will tell you that we are under grace and we don't have to do anything. Just eat drink and be merry. But I tell you that we will be judged by our works. Works means what we do for or against God's commandments. We do these things because we love Jesus and our friends. We can just say "OH we love you" That is hollow and meaningless unless we do something good. Jesus said:
JOHN 21:15
15 ¶ So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
JOHN 21:16
16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
JOHN 21:17
17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
You see if you love Jesus and your friends feed them. Give them what they need to be able to fish. Give them what they need,
GALATIANS 5:22
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
We cannot live a lie. We must seek and follow the truth no matter where it leads us.
JOHN 14:15
15 ¶ If ye love me, keep my commandments.
JOHN 14:21
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
JOHN 15:10
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
I JOHN 5:2
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
I JOHN 5:3
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
II JOHN 1:6
6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
We must give up life to gain life. If not, we have our reward.
LUKE 17:33
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
